BACTERIUM

MDH_ECOLI Cloned from E. coli (strain K12). the amino terminal is similar to mitochondrial mammalian MDH but not cytosolic mammalian MDH.  This is most similar to the E. coli MDH described by Hall and Banaszak. (DataSheet / SnapGeneFile)

MDH_CHLP8 B3QPY9  Cloned from green sulfur photosynthetic bacterium. Chlorobaculum parvum. Very little is published on this isoform of MDH.  (DataSheet / SnapGeneFile)

MDH_STRAW  Cloned from Soil Bacteria Streptomyces avermitilis with unique secondary metabolites including anti-helminthic (hookworm) and insecticidal properties.  One article published on this isoform. This is a thermostable MDH with a duel specificity for NADH and NADPH.  Strongly inhibited by both OAA and NADH, while other ions increase activity.  (DataSheet / SnapGeneFile)
